At Hand Up Housing (HUH), we recognize that securing stable, affordable housing can be a challenge—especially for individuals who face barriers due to past circumstances. That’s why we created HUH Connect MadCo, a private online platform designed to connect social workers, housing advocates, and our trusted partners with local landlords willing to provide housing opportunities to those in need.

 

Think of HUH Connect MadCo as a “Vrbo” for affordable housing—a streamlined system that helps match individuals with available housing options while ensuring ongoing support throughout their journey.

 

Through this platform:

• Partners & Social Workers can directly assist individuals in finding a safe and stable place to live.

• Local Landlords willing to participate gain access to tenants who are supported by Hand Up Housing.

• HUH Co-Signs leases when needed, giving landlords added security while empowering tenants to rebuild their rental history.

• Ongoing Support & Encouragement is provided as we walk alongside individuals, encouraging positive lifestyle choices and long-term success.

 

HUH Connect MadCo is an invitation-only platform available exclusively to our partners. By working together, we can remove housing barriers and provide a true hand up, not just a handout.

This innovative platform has been developed in collaboration with the Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville (SIUE) Computer Science Department, which is currently finalizing the finishing touches.
